“Hope Rising” The Cauldron that I was commissioned to build for the opening ceremony of the Special Olympics USA Games 2018 at Husky Stadium. In February 2019 it was featured at Oregon Winterfest in Bend OR.

Perseus is a kinetic sculpture built for the Center on Contemporary Arts’ “Heaven and Earth II” temporary sculpture exhibit at Carkeek Park. This piece is wind powered kinetic, and also utilizes  solar powered LEDs and stands over 22' tall. The pendulum in the center is the same radius as the three legs.

It occurred to me as I was completing Perseus that the intersection of sculpture and performance was not very explored so  I collaborated with  Tick Tock a renowned modern aerial troupe, founded by Liza Rose.  Tick Tock did 3 performances in the park in the fall of 2010 and then a another series of performances the following summer at The Smoke Farm.  The summer of 2012 Perseus  was part of the Peace Arch Park International Sculpture Exhibition.

El Sol: Shining Through was a commission piece for the City of Bellevue Washington's 2012 International Bellwether Exhibition.  This was the first piece that I collaborated with Ryan Blythe on.  It's original height was 22' (due to the City Engineers Guidelines) but I have since shortened it to about 16' for aesthetic reasons.

Currently this piece is on display in front of Ryan's Studio, The Rainier Glass Studio

Ascent was commissioned for by the City of Bellevue WA and was part of the 2014 Bellewether exhibition and was installed in front of Bellevue City Hall.  Ascent was then part of El Paseo Sculpture Exhibition in 2016-2018 followed by Ketchum/ Sun Valley’s Art on Fourth 2019 and finally at CONTEXT MIAMI that December. Ascent is now available for purchase at Grace Renee Gallery in AZ.

Peregrine II 2018

Standing thirteen feet tall, Peregrine II was commissioned by Craig Ponzio after he purchased the original seven feet tall, Peregrine I from Space Gallery (Denver, CO).

Both pieces have been installed at The Ponzio Art Center within Colorado Academy to inspire students, faculty, and parents.
